Frequently Asked Questions

Everything patients ask before their first appointment — answered plainly.

Where are you located? Do I come to an office?

Mindful Sewa Psychiatry is a telehealth practice. All appointments happen by secure video, so there is no office to drive to — you must simply be physically located in California during your visit.

Who will I be seeing?

Harpal Singh, MSN, PMHNP-BC — a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a DEA license, treating patients across the lifespan.

What conditions do you treat?

Anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, PTSD, insomnia, stress and burnout, prenatal and postpartum depression, dementia-related behavioral disturbances, and more. See the full conditions list.

Do you prescribe medication?

Yes. Medication management is a core service, including controlled medications when clinically appropriate under current California and federal telehealth regulations.

Do you offer therapy too?

Yes — supportive psychotherapy is available alone or alongside medication management, at $199 per session.

What does it cost?

Initial evaluations are $250, follow-ups and therapy sessions are $199, and clinical letters are $150. We are private-pay; HSA/FSA accepted, superbills available.

What languages do you speak?

Care is available directly in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Spanish — no interpreters.

Do you see children and seniors?

Yes — children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Geriatric and memory care psychiatry are particular specialties.

How fast can I get an appointment?

Usually within days. Book online any time through the IntakeQ portal or call (888) 457-8124.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations may incur 50% of the session fee; same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged the full fee, with consideration for extenuating circumstances.

Is my information confidential?

Yes. Your care is protected by medical privacy law and is never shared without your written consent, outside of rare legally required safety exceptions explained at your first visit.

What should I do in a crisis?

Telehealth is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911 or 988, or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.
