Hindi-Speaking Psychiatric Provider in California
Direct psychiatric care in Hindi, no interpreters, by secure telehealth anywhere in California.
Mental health care works best in the language you think in. Mindful Sewa Psychiatry offers psychiatric care in Hindi for patients across California. Care comes directly from Harpal Singh, PMHNP-BC, with no interpreter needed.
California is home to many Hindi speaking families, yet Hindi speaking psychiatric providers can be hard to find. Telehealth closes that gap. You get a careful evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy in Hindi, from anywhere in the state.
For many Hindi speaking families, mental health is something people feel but rarely talk about. A parent calls it tension. A student calls it pressure. An elder says they just feel tired all the time. Here you can explain what is happening in the language that matches how you think and feel.
Families join from the Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Irvine, Tustin, and the Central Valley, all by telehealth from anywhere in California. You can speak in Hindi, in English, or in the Hinglish mix many families use at home. Switching back and forth is completely fine.
This page covers how distress often sounds in Hindi and how family and duty shape the choice to seek help. It also covers the stress many students and professionals face, how to help a parent, and what to expect from your first visit.

Telehealth Psychiatric Care in Hindi
Direct Care in Hindi
Describe your symptoms, your stress, and your family life in Hindi and be fully understood. The small shades of meaning that get lost in translation stay in the conversation.

Pressure at work or school, family duty, marriage hopes, and visa stress are part of your life. Here they are part of your care, not an afterthought.
Private and Easy to Fit In
Visits happen by secure video from a private place you choose. Appointments are offered Monday through Sunday, by appointment only, so care can fit around a busy job.
Every Service in Hindi
Depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, OCD, trauma, and care for older adults are all treated. Every service of the practice is available in Hindi.
Saying What You Feel in Hindi
Some feelings are hard to translate. A person might say मन उदास है, that the heart feels low. Others describe घबराहट, a restless fear, or say there is too much tension. Many talk mostly about the body, like headaches, a tight chest, stomach trouble, or no energy. In a visit here, you do not have to translate yourself.
These everyday words often point to real and treatable conditions like depression, anxiety, panic, or insomnia. The evaluation asks careful questions about sleep, appetite, focus, worry, and mood. If a physical cause needs to be ruled out, you will be asked to check with your primary care doctor. You can read more about how generalized anxiety shows up.
Some people cope with stress by drinking more, or by leaning on sleeping pills or pain pills. If that is part of your story, you can talk about it openly. It is treated as a health issue, not a moral failing. Knowing about it helps build a safer treatment plan.
Family, Duty, and Log Kya Kahenge
The phrase लोग क्या कहेंगे, what will people say, stops many people from asking for help. Worries about marriage, family name, and letting parents down can feel heavier than the symptoms. Seeking care is a private choice, and it does not have to become family news.
Nothing is shared with family, employers, or the community without your written consent. The only exceptions are rare safety situations required by law, and they are explained at the start. You join from a private place you choose, so there is no waiting room and no one to run into.
Family life brings its own pressures. Living with in-laws, caring for aging parents, raising children between two cultures, and balancing duty with your own needs can wear anyone down. These are normal parts of life for many families, and they are welcome topics in care.
New mothers can feel this pressure most. Relatives may expect joy after a baby arrives, while a mother feels tearful, numb, or unable to sleep even when the baby sleeps. These feelings are common and treatable, and they are not a failure of love. Learn more about postpartum depression and when to ask for help.
Pressure on Students, Professionals, and Visa Holders
Many Hindi speaking patients in California work long hours in tech, medicine, engineering, or small business. Some are international students. Some live with a visa, a layoff, or a long green card wait. Constant pressure to succeed can lead to burnout, poor sleep, anxiety, or trouble focusing. Care here takes that context seriously.
Some adults first wonder about adult ADHD when work demands grow. Others notice panic before big meetings or exams. An evaluation can help sort out what is stress and what may be a treatable condition. Read more about stress and burnout if that sounds like you.
If a medicine is considered, your prescriber decides what fits. Controlled medicines, like stimulants, are used only when clinically appropriate and allowed under current telehealth rules. Medicine is always one option among others, never a requirement.
Caring for Parents and Elders
Older adults often describe things in their own way. A parent who moved here late in life may say they feel lonely, forgetful, or restless at night. Some stop eating well or lose interest in things they once enjoyed. These changes deserve a careful look, not just patience.
Harpal's background includes assisted living, memory care, and long-term care. Memory loss, confusion, grief, and poor sleep in older adults are familiar ground. A parent can speak in Hindi directly to the provider, without a child or grandchild translating. See more about psychiatric care for older adults.
To start the talk, focus on what your parent already feels, like poor sleep or low energy. Tell them the visit is in Hindi, private, and from home. Every patient must be physically in California during each visit, so if a parent is here on a visit from India, call first to talk it through.
What to Expect From Care in Hindi
Your first appointment is an initial psychiatric evaluation of about 60 minutes by secure telehealth video. New patients are usually seen within days. You can book your first visit online or call (888) 457-8124, and just mention that you want care in Hindi.
Before the visit, find a quiet, private place in California with a good internet connection. Make a list of your current medicines, including Ayurvedic or herbal products, since some can mix badly with prescriptions. Write down your main worries so you do not forget them.
At the end, you get a written treatment plan. Follow-up visits check how it is working and change it as needed. The evaluation is $250 and follow-ups are $199, the same fees in every language. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and messages are returned within one business day.
If you want family involved, tell us when you book. A spouse, parent, or adult child can join part of the visit to share what they have noticed. You decide who joins, and you can always ask for time alone. For children and teens, parents take part in care, and the young person also gets space to talk.
