Many adults put off care for years. They get through the workday, take care of family and push their own needs to the end of the list. Adult psychiatry by telehealth in California makes it easier to finally deal with what has been building up, without taking a full day off work.
If you have been searching for an online psychiatrist for adults, Harpal is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who treats adults from their twenties through later life. Visits can happen at lunch, after the kids are asleep or on a weekend, since hours run Monday to Sunday by appointment. People join from the Bay Area, Orange County cities like Tustin and Fullerton, the Central Valley and everywhere in between.
How Adult Psychiatry Works
- Book at a Time That Works. Pick a slot online or call (888) 457-8124. New patients are usually seen within days.
- Have Your Evaluation. A video visit of about 60 minutes for $250 looks at your symptoms, health, history and goals. You leave with a written plan.
- Follow Your Plan. Your plan may include medicine, therapy sessions at $199, lifestyle steps or testing. You choose what fits your life.
- Keep Checking In. Follow-up visits at $199 keep the plan on track as work, family and health change.
Conditions We Treat in Adults
We treat depression, anxiety and panic, adult ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and trauma. We also help with insomnia, burnout, grief and anger that comes from an underlying condition. Our medication management page explains how medicine care works here.
Private Pay on Purpose
Self-pay care means longer visits, no insurance company limiting your treatment choices and more privacy. Fees are published and simple. The evaluation is $250, follow-ups and therapy sessions are $199 and $199, and clinical letters are $150.
Care in Your Language
Care is available in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Spanish, directly with no interpreter. Describing your inner life is hard enough in your first language. You should not have to do it in your second.
Adult Life Stages We Support
Needs change as life changes. Young adults often come in for anxiety, focus problems or depression during school or a first job. Many people in midlife juggle careers, parenting and aging parents at the same time. Some adults first learn they may have ADHD after a child is diagnosed. Our adult ADHD page explains more.
Pregnancy, the months after birth, menopause and retirement can all affect mood and sleep. Each stage brings its own health questions and medicine concerns. Care is shaped around where you are in life right now.
Why See a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Online
A PMHNP is an advanced practice nurse with graduate training in psychiatry. Harpal holds an MSN from Marquette University and a Post-Master's PMHNP certificate from Herzing University. He is board-certified through the ANCC and DEA licensed.
That training covers diagnosis, therapy and prescribing. It means one clinician can handle your full care, from evaluation to follow-up, without sending you between offices. For busy adults, that saves time and keeps care connected.
Care That Fits a Busy Adult Life
Getting care should not add stress. Video visits mean no commute and no waiting room. You can join from a parked car, a home office or any private place in California. Messages are returned within one business day, so small questions do not have to wait for the next visit.
Pricing is simple and published, so you know the cost before each visit. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and superbills are available on request. See every fee on our fees page.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
We are a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds. We can also give you a superbill to send to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
How soon can I be seen?
New patients are usually seen within days. You can book online at any time through IntakeQ or call (888) 457-8124.
Can you treat me if I travel for work?
You must be physically in California at the time of each telehealth visit. We can plan your visits around your travel schedule.
What do I need for a video visit?
You need a phone, tablet or computer with a camera, plus a private place to talk. Your visit link comes by email through our secure IntakeQ portal.
Can I be seen if I have never had mental health care before?
Yes. Many adults start their first care here. You do not need a referral or past records, just a willingness to talk about what is going on.
Can I book a visit on a weekend?
Yes. Hours run Monday to Sunday by appointment. Book online to see what times are open.
Will my employer find out I am getting care?
No. Your care is private and self-pay, so there are no insurance claims through your job. Nothing is shared without your written consent, except rare legal safety situations we explain up front.
Can I use a superbill with my PPO?
You can ask for a superbill to send to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Whether they pay depends on your plan. HSA and FSA cards are also accepted.
